Home Improvement

Over a month ago, Beau and I decided we need to do some major work to the outside of our house. So this is what we have so far...with a lot more to go!! Whose idea was this anyway??? Before our house was a very light yellow (shasta daisy) w/ white shutters. ( couldn't find a before pic anywhere) So we went completely different! Beau tore off the shutters and some funky columns, put new trim around the windows, re-skirted it and we painted it red! I LOVE IT! Before we even started painting we decided we needed a new screen door, when I saw this door, I decided I wanted a new door instead! Of course since we have a manufactured home, EVERYTHING, is always a different size when we need to replace something, as was the case with the door, but my awesome husband didn't let that stop him, with some help from his dad and 6 hours later we had a new front door! We still have 2 more sides to paint and redo the skirting, a fence to put up and new steps to build. With Beau being gone most of the week all our work gets held off until the weekend, then we have soccer games and other stuff to do, so we're hoping to have it done by Halloween! These are just some pics I took of my boys yesterday while they were running around outside. The wind was blowing a little so they didn't stay still very long, their eyes were starting to water. Tanner always looks so cute, even when he is being silly. Mason wouldn't hold still for me outside so I trapped him inside. he was not very happy!

I love your house! I told Jase as we were driving by, " I want a red house like theirs!" And he said, "like who?" and by that time we had passed by and so he had to turn, and the back was still yellow, so he didn't know what I was talking about...ha! I love it though, good job!!!! Now come paint ours red!
